Sunni is your best friend in the sun. The wide brim keeps your face in the shade on bright days. You can choose an open version that ties at the back, or one that covers the head completely. If you are new to sewing, start with the open version.

Every step is explained in full, with text and illustrations, so you can follow along without prior experience.

The pattern comes as a PDF in Norwegian and English, and every version is included when you buy it. The file is yours the moment you have paid, wherever you are, and there is no shipping to wait for.

Rigid inlay for the brim (for example inlay intended for bags)

Choice of fabric

Fabric choice:

Firm, medium-thick woven fabrics are recommended, such as canvas, canvas, twill or denim. This pattern is great for using up leftovers from other projects.

Fabric choices for the hats pictured:
The blue, all-over version is sewn in light linen on one side and quilted cotton with a print on the other side. The orange patterned screen is sewn in printed cotton canvas.
