Akira is a plain, but cool, unlined jacket or coat with large pockets. You can choose between wide sleeves or narrower sleeves that are gathered with a pleat. The collar can be sewn with a split front or as a whole piece with a seam at the center back. Choose whether you want a loose tie belt or belts that attach under the pocket. The pattern is easy to sew and suitable for a beginner.
To make the pattern easy to follow, all steps are thoroughly explained with text and illustrations.
The pattern is available as a PDF in Norwegian and English or as a paper pattern in Norwegian. All sizes are included when you purchase a pattern.

This jacket or coat can be made from a variety of fabrics, from heavy materials like thick wool or bedspreads, linen or terry bathrobes, or as a lightweight, embellished version in woven viscose, silk, or velvet. For a warm version, cozy and warm fabrics such as wool or padded/quilted fabrics are recommended. For a transitional jacket in spring or autumn, denim, twill, canvas, or similar cotton or linen fabrics would be suitable. Akira is a versatile jacket or coat that can be adapted to the season and occasion based on the fabric used.
